Harvest Moon Over Medina
People often ask me what the link is between my wedding work, and performing arts photography. I feel like I could open Keri and Ryan's wedding book and say "this, this right here!" while showing them the photo of the moon rising above them as they kiss on a handcrafted covered bridge at sunset. I guarantee you I will at some point in my future share that photo to a set designer while working on a production of Oklahoma and say "this, this right here!"
While rustic barn weddings are at the height of popularity, Keri and Ryan live this life. Boots and backroads are this couple. In fact, their engagement session was out in the country were I chased them in their 4-wheeler down gravel roads in my small Kia SUV. That adventure engagement session was amazing.
Keri designed her own flowers, dresses were from David's Bridal, and the groomsmen were in cowboy hats and western shirts. Everyone was in boots, including the groom's grandma. The White Birch Barn in Media, Ohio was the ideal backdrop for a reception that included drinking beer around a bonfire. I snuck Keri and Ryan out at the end of the night to get some special sunset couple photos. I can think of no better start to their life as man as wife as to share a kiss under the harvest moon.
